Celebrating Business Success with the Top 100

Last night I was in Saskatoon to attend the Top 100 Business Awards Gala hosted by Saskatchewan Business Magazine. I saw several familiar faces from my time in economic development upon entering the room- even a few familiar faces from North Battleford.

This gets said a lot- and I’m sure by now it’s become almost cliché to many- but we really don’t celebrate our individual and business successes enough in Saskatchewan. Many of us are simply too humble to ‘toot our own horn’, which is certainly not a fault and most of us are guilty of it.

This is precisely why it is great to see Saskatchewan Business Magazine showing the leadership to promote the success of others for them. Most important, in a province that is constantly overwhelmed by public enterprise, it is refreshing to attend an event to celebrate private enterprise in Saskatchewan- the true driver of a healthy economy.
